Chanukah 2005/5766

Lego Menorah: What would Canukkah be without a 12-foot-tall menorah made of Legos? On Monday, Chabad of S. Barbara continued what has become its tradition of constructing a giant menorah, the candelabrum used to celebrate the Festival of Lights, out of the toy pieces. The finished "Lego Menorah," towering at La Cumbre Plaza, is composed of more than 4,000 Lego pieces and was put together by more than 400 participants!

Borders Book Reading and Olive Press: Children of all ages joined together to hear Chanukah stories and relive the making of the olive oil.  Participants got a taste of why it took so long to make the olive oil, and how you could make a giant Latke!  Thanks to Borders of Goleta for hosting this incredible event!
