Chabad of S. Barbara Youth Directors
Rabbi Zalmy and Shterna Kudan, with their children Mendel, Mushky, Chava Miriam and Gabi, serve as youth directors for Chabad of S. Barbara. The Kudans direct Generations Connect, Talmud Torah Hebrew School Camp Gan Israel and Aleph Bet Preschool.
Rabbi Zalmy has spent ten years in youth programming and education all over the globe, including Montreal, Melbourne and most recently Chicago. Shterna has both administrated and taught in the most prestigious of Chabad’s educational institutions nationwide, including Sydney, New York and S. Barbara.
Both Rabbi Zalmy and Shterna are known for their vibrant and fun personalities which are enhanced by the genuine sensitivity and care they have for their students. “We are extremely happy that they have chosen S. Barbara as their home,” says Rabbi Yosef Loschak, director of Chabad of S. Barbara and father of Shterna. “They are the perfect team to boost our youth activities.”
